      Finally got wood.
      Time for a test fit.

I'm pretty sure I'll need to do some guard rolling. Not sure how long the extended lip will last lol.

Since I can't work out how to post in the classifieds section...
      I have 8 14x1.50 Lug Bolts, Ball Seat - 31mm Shank
      and
      8 14x1.50 Lug Bolts, Ball Seat - 45mm Shank
      FOR SALE!

      I bought them by mistake, I believe they'll work on a VR6 or a mk4.

Asking $35 pick up or $50 delivered for the lot. Let your friends know

Those cheap lips break really easy I destroyed mine in the first day I had one on my old car aswell, I rock the NA lip now, which even though gets scraped hard multipe times every day is looking to be invinvible. Sure its scratched up a lot but its never going to break

Car looks awesome. I'd go the 185's, would look dope. Not like its a heavy/powerful vr6 or anything which needs to bigger tyres for safety/performance.

            185/45/15s on 15x8s

That lip was surprisingly expensive, I bought it based on the numbers which had sold... bad idea lol.

There's a seller on ebay showing photos of a flexible extended lip:
VW GOLF MK3 1.8 FRONT BUMPER LOWER SPOILER SPLITTER CHIN | eBay
I may just try this one next. If I smash it too it's going to be either standard golf lip, NA lip or the Vento plastic (no lip). Where did you get the NA lip from? (I assume it's that smooth lip, not as long as the extended one and not as short as the golf one..?)

185's have been ordered and I'm picking them up tomorrow, I'll be having 2" of stretch on each tyre hahaha. Funds are running low so I will be taking my time getting them fitted, they'll be fitted properly (no fire) at a place that fits tyres on cranes lol.

Borbet reps (the only difference is the bolt that holds the centre cap on and these don't say made in Germany), was gonna pay $1200 for real ones but this is my first time stretching tyres and using coilovers. I didn't want to spend too much in case I didn't like it...but I love it lol. Can't wait to get them on the car!
How out of alignment do front wheels generally go when lowering this much? Right now they seem like my dog's eyes.....

I swear the steering wheel was straight but both wheels were aiming opposite ways hahaha.

I got my NA lip from dubaddiction. Its actually smaller than the standard duckbill that came on the cars, a fair bit smaller than the euro one, I need it because a euro lip literally wont fit on my car as I sit that low I wouldn't be surprised if that other ebay lip you posted breaks as well, but you never know, for the cost of a genuine one you could buy like 5 of those so it cant hurt to try

Yeah I'd reckon alignment is a must after all that.

Car looks amazing man! those "Borbets" will set it off nicely..... You'll need an alignment after you lower it, lol. depending how bad it is, you can diy align it and drive to a shop to do it properly or just drive there with massive amounts of toe.... haha, love the pic for reference :p

I've been driving for a week with massive amounts of toe lol. Certainly makes the steering stiffer... Lucky my current tyres are called Trevor and Triangle most likely made in Bangladesh haha.

                                Some progress pics:

For future reference, BUY NANKANG's!!!!! They look so awesome stretched, especially 185's. The tyres themselves have a slightly rounded sidewall so they just look perfect.
Ran into one problem getting the guards rolled, the rear left had a bunch of bog around it so it didn't roll too well. No rubbing though

                                The money shot
