Did you spray straight onto the textured bumper parts without sanding them?

I sure did! Cleaned them first with some special cleaning foam stuff then painted straight onto them. Washed the car last nite and havent had a problem with paint coming off, running or looking crappy so Im happy enough!

Matty T, thanks! I thought I read somewhere else they were prone to breaking, so I wasnt overly surprised when I realised it might be the problem!

Anyone have any idea how much they cost to replace?

Yeah I was looking at them, and very close to buying a set, but I decided to just spray mine till I can justify the 100$ for a set

You have to watch out, the NA ones won't fit. Will require some modding (i.e. cutting). They do the same with Euro parts.

I just did an audio install too Lorenz, and loving it Mine does, however, rattle A LOT, but have put on Dynamat around the important places and now doesn't rattle at all I love it!

Agreed Lorenz, DIY the stuff you can do, and save the money for the stuff you can't (like a good quality coilover )

I love R31 Skylines, especially Japanese. I had bought a few Nissans before VW came back.

Started with a Bluebird auto wagen (new), Pulsar Hatch (new), N14 Pulsar (new), R31 Syline GL (new), Vector NSD LSD, Pulsar GL (new), Bluebird 2.4L auto then my first VW a Golf GL 2.0L manual New in '95.

I had the plates NISM.01 & my son had NISM.02. They are a great car!
