Another little update, car now rocks a Neuspeed rear swaybar, and damn it was worth every penny. Stiffens up the rear end and reduces body roll by quite a bit. Car sits alot flatter around corners and I have yet to experience any real oversteer issues with it set to medium stiffness.

Was a bit wierd installing a sway bar to a car that never came with one, Im more used to putting them in replacing an old one! Was a bit stumped at first when I realised there wasnt really anywhere for it to go (ie holes to bolt to).







Wish the rest of the under car was that clean!

Wasnt to bad in the end. Hardest part was putting the new longer bolts into the bottom of the strut for the sway bar links (muffler and fuel tank get in the way)

I could do it all again in about an hour I reckon.

Nah Im not, but havent pushed the car hard enough to find out just yet. Gave it a good flogging as usual today through the hills, but my tyres are wearing a little low again so cant go too hard now

Lost my job the other day aswell, so the Golf is going to get a rest from the mods for a little bit sadly. Need to start saving for some paint, a new boot lid and a spare front bar so I can get stuck into some smoothing

Sorry to hear about your Job. But you got yourself a new toy, that should keep you going for a while.

I was expecting alot more work is needing to fit the sway bar, cutting welding muffler etc.... Good to know it was not hard.

prob should have adjusted it to the softest setting, even more so because you dont have a front do you? I would imagine that oversteer will be kickin your ass out quicker than you can say f*&k

I have the 25mm and 28mm and was recomended that I make it soft, see how you go anyways

. . . oh, and yes, they look very cool when the car is jacked up! A shame you cant see it whilst driving

Cheers Alex mate! I was thinking of dropping it back down to the softest setting and leaving it like that for a while. At least until I get a front sway bar and hit the track
