Haha sure am Matty, however I am stopping there with the handling and suspension I'd be quite happy with that I think

After this I'm looking at Samco hose kits But seeing as the Nats aren't till May next year I have abit of time

          • Huston, we have a problem.

The strut tie brace fouls the brake fluid reservoir.

            Has anybody else had this??

Interesting... something I will be VERY interested in since I'm considering one of these myself.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

              • Just had my strut brace and swaybars fitted today, no problem with the strut brace fitting tho.

BTW, the handling is AWESOME!!!! WOOT!!!! The steering and stability is hugely better, highly recommended mod peoples!!!!

                • pix of the strut brace asap plz!

My brake fluid pot is completely in the way. It can be shoved across by force but the workshop wasnt keen on it since they have no idea on the long term durability of the brake system then.

                    • Hope these pics help Matty, sorry for the quality the light was shyte Anywho, the bar does mount quite close to the brake fluid reservoir but doesn't quite touch, maybe 2-3mm in it, however, the reservoir is on a flexible mount so I don't think it would cause too much hassle.

                      • damn thats a close fit! will you be able to open the brake reservoir without removing the bar?!?

                        • Yeah you just have to push it over a little but the mount has flex so its cool. For all of you guys with hard suspension I also recommend the swaybars for smoothing the ride out. Has worked wonders with the super stiff Bilsteins.

                          • hehe, brake resovior... meh

i have that bar too, and it touches the resovior - last night i actually removed the bar to top up the fluid when i fitted my new brakes (thanx loon).

having said that, i don't care - the bar is worth it!

the car was on the hoist when i removed the bar, and no surprise that when the bolts were removed from the drivers side, the bar became separated from the strut tower - by about 10mm! there you go, it works!

i agree that the handling and steering feel of the car is much improved with the neuspeed bar. truly worth the money.

                            • Yup, thats pretty much how they were going to fit mine. But they were too worried it was going to break the reservoir since they didnt know too much about golfs or vw's in general.

Imagines ive seen of USDM golfs have the reservoir beside the coolant bottle though! So it seems like a bit of a design oversight by neuspeed.

                              • It seems perfectly fine to mount it, as I said there is enough flex in the reservoir mount to get away with it.
