On an unrelated note, painted the alternator last night to kill an hour of spare time


Hope to tidy up the garage and then get stuck into pulling apart, cleaning up and painting various engine bits this weekend, as my air stuff isnt all here yet.

Finished stripping down the wreck today, theres practically nothing left on it at all now. Have a 2 garage bays completely covered in parts though Will need to figure out what im doing with those, might bin a lot of it, so if anyones chasing any interior trim or something speak now or it will be too late

Put the engine crane to use yet again to drag the thing out of the garage and onto the grass.



And since I'm easily entertained (and deep down really miss the old blue beast)....

Theres not a lot of news about the conversion at the moment, I have what I want to do to it planned including a light bit of porting in the head, 3 angle valve job, All new gaskets etc, water pump, chains, clutch and probably lightweight flywheel, nuespeed lightened and underdriven pulleys, thermo housing and crack pipe, plugs, leads and other general maintenance, exhaust, cams, chip etc etc, along with painting everything up and getting it all looking pretty, quite possibly lengthening the looms and doing a wire tuck, and maybe even a mild bay shaving and paint. Am waiting for money to buy parts, and also waiting for my triple square bits to get here so I can pull the head off and take to the head with some sanding rolls in an attempt to do a ghetto port job. Not going to take much out of it, just clean and smooth things out a bit, Ive heard thats the way to go when you're not experienced as its easy to do more harm then good by hogging out the ports.

Started to make something really quickly yesterday evening to mount the amp and management etc on. Is still very rough and needs carpet etc, but you get the idea



Also got my last box of air suspension goodies from overseas, the picture of the front struts I put up a while ago was from the parcel forwarding company I use there.
just waiting on a tank to show up which should be any minute, the post tracker thing says its in the truck with someone driving around delivering things in toowoomba as we speak

If these dont get me low enough, I don't know what will..... Hah >

Seriously cant get over how short they are. Should be fun hehe.

I actually bought the complete setup from a bloke in Canada, with the rear bags and management and all having done a couple thousand miles, and the front struts and bags being brand new. In the end I probably payed the same as what I would have for a new set, but thats life. Is a truly lovely guy though, haha, has been very helpfull, and everythings in mint condition.

And yeah dylan I have a rough idea, although kind of just making it up as I go along I have the basics planned out though, too hard to explain, pictures will reveal all soon enough.


Came home from work to find the last piece of the puzzle was finally here A sexy bit of aluminium tank. Is very lightweight and should hold a fair amount of air, so I'm relatively happy with it, although the description of what ports it had on it were completely wrong so I'm going to need yet more parts to connect everything up. Have contacted the seller, hopefully they reimburse something or something.
Might run some lines tomorrow night and with some luck this thing will be on the ground by the end of the weekend, if not sooner
