For even coverage with the spoke, I'd suggest spraying from the back side as well. I find it gets a more even coverage through the spokes. (you may have already been doing this, but I think it's worth mentioning)
top marks! Im not looking forward to spraying my RS's. It'll be a dam pain in the arse
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

Cheers guys Has been a bit of work on them to date and still plenty more to come, but I think it'll be worth it They gave me something to keep me busy while I was carless for a few weeks too, so yeah
Yeah jace I've been spraying fromt he front and back, but still miss spots on the spokes, so then try and just shoot into them and they turn out fine but its still a pain in the ass. Haha. I'm getting better though. Hadn't touched a spray gun before these wheels, and am already much better with it. Started on the barrels as theyre not really all that visible and theyve turned out very nicely
Thanks. If (well its more like when, I miss the sound so much) I put the vr in, ill probably run a shortened sump and r32 pump again like I did on my old vr. I had fresh stage one mounts and that combination was enough to bring it up above subframe, without raising the engine and losing axle/frame clearance (not that there was any)
Where do you get the shortened sump and r32 pump from usually? Bottomed out on yet another metal speedhump today!
I had a custom shortened steel sump from someone on the Vortex in the US, was a very nice piece of metal! It has to be the mk5 r32 pump and I got that from 1stvwparts for like $180.
In other news, failed a second roadworthy today. Its pretty ****ty. It passed in NSW before I bought it. May complain to the dealer/mechanics who passed it.
