VR6 Numbers

According to the numbers I have, there were 739 VR6's sold in Australia between 94 and 98. There have been threads before trying to account for as many as we can... but I thought it would interesting to hit this from the otherside.

Who has written off or wrecked a VR6? I only want to count VR6's that you *know* have gone to the grave. Between us all I'm sure we can put a dent in that 739 and have a better idea of just how few of these things are still driving around.

There was a really nice late model grey one that was written off earlier this year as well.
There are also 2 currently in the for sale section that will msot likely end up being parted out.

If you mean my two, I dont intend on parting them out, but wouldnt be surprised if someone else did, if these cars are that rare, am surprised mine are not selling, doubt my prices are set too high anymore??

Unfortunately rare and desirable dont always go hand in hand. Maybe in a few years time when VW have really hit the big time again in Australia they will get a bit more of a cult following. At the minute only the innitated know how cool they are

Louis is most likely going to scrap his as well. Maroon early VR6. Dead gearbox and body in poor condition.

apparently they get 1 every few months.
i reakon within 5years time just about all 94 models will be off the road. how many of those were made?

I reckon I have wrecked the following
Marron One in Camden
Grey One in Camden
2 White Ones 2 greys and a Silver at the old shop and a couple of green, a purple a black and a white at the new shop.
Stottos running gear went into Martys Green 2 door.
The Blue 2 door got running gear from a Grey one with cream leather.
I have built 3 3 door Vr6s to redress the balance a bit and put engines etc into an Ibiza and a Mk2 2door
Currently turning a green vr6 shell into a 2L auto as a courtesy car!
Also built a Black Colour Concept with Bora 24v engine.
