I'll be putting work in for sure, but won't take credit for Jmacs. 20 minutes away from Alba Euro HQ it's hard to justify spending more time, money, and ending up with a much worse car (Im a noob) by doing everything yourself, I don't have the tools and improv tool usage ends badly, knowledge or time at the moment, but I do understand why doing it all yourself can be great.Originally posted by dylan8 View PostNot getting the hands dirty at all?
Love the colour, and how your Bora is looking they're a much prettier car than the vento, but the vento will be tougher.

Cheers guys.
Went to suss out the slightly cleaner car in day light and once it was dry today, and well, the drit was covering alot! between the BIGGEST scratches on the rear quarter from a cat I have ever seen, to the growth on the front of the bonnet where it was parked against a bush.
Plan to give it a clay to clean it up and a coat of wax to atleast protect it while its in the works.

This would be the look I'd be going for if I had a black vento - love this thing!

I've always wanted a mk3, (something with electrics and aircon etc) but either wasnt game to take on the big mechanical side of things or they were to expensive to have as a spare car. But now i want to learn somethings and this car had all the colour schemes and problems i wanted to cover.

I'll be going something like this. BBS RS, Black with smoked bits, only bits of colour will be the lower half of the tails, fog lights, and any stickers that end up on it. Not sure about which way I want to go with the grille though. new vs old shape, badge-less or smoked badge.
So i think I have my suspension, wheels, seats, and exhaust sorted. Now to just get a VR6, 5 stud, and gear box and itll begin.Last edited by dylan8; 02-06-2011, 12:50 PM.

the only grille worth running on a vento is the early 4 slat one

hmmm i dunno now. I like that one, but maybe its becuase it reminds me of the bora.Originally posted by Tim View Postthe only grille worth running on a vento is the early 4 slat one
Are the ones pictured what you sell?
Whats the go with the ones that are one piece that continue right under the headlight? they just look odd to me...?
so is there 3 oem options?Last edited by dylan8; 02-06-2011, 11:19 PM.

hmmm think im sold on that grille Tim! might have to get one off you down the track if they are the ones you stock?
please excuse my noob mk3 wheel fitment question guys... Looking at offsets of what people on here are running, 17x8et20 all round could would be fairly close to the guards? Keeping in mind its going to be a vr6 so will end up being wide track (correct?) if that makes a whole heap of difference...
