    you cant beat freebies mate.

yeah best get spring compressors, I've changed em without compressors. and I'll just say it was pretty scary/dangerous haha.

Well getting there slowly, exchanged the rear lowered springs / shocks and the exhaust from the red car into my grey one, didn't require the spring compressor as I didnt take the springs off, just exchanged the whole assembly.

Will be doing the front in the next couple of days, will post some pics when it is at a level height, looks even more like im towing the invisible caravan at the moment hehe

Finally got around to putting the lowered front springs in today, so lowered all round now Not too far, maybe 1-2 inches, but better stance now than when I got it.

To my surprise today, pulled the key out of the door (drivers) and the whole lock assembly came with it

Believe this is due to the end part coming off, has anyone done this repair before? Hopefully can be done without pulling the inside door trim off, sh*t always breaks when i do that!

Not too much more to report, other 2 cars have gone, for a very cheap price, but when you need the money.....

Fixed my door lock, wasn't a very hard process at all. Apart from that just gave it a wash today, with some sticker bombing, nothing too original but gives it some character

Gave it a gutful tonight entering the freeway, around 4000rpm, look back to see a smoke cloud a ninja would be proud of, hope its not the beginning of the end....the engine has over 280 000kms on it so have to expect some wear I guess..

Well the above problem has cleared, not sure what it was that day, but relieved not to worry about it again.

Dropped a K&N panel filter into my airbox this week (no cheesebox mod) and was very surprised just the difference that panel filter made, feels so much smoother!
