After reading lots and lots of ads before buying my VR6, I noticed ones like this:
http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/VOLKSWAGEN/GOLF/details.aspx?Model=GOLF&__Nne=20&__N=4294962746+78 %20+4294962677+4294932693+834+285+257&Make=VOLKSWA GEN%20&State=ACT&silo=1003&state_id=78&distance=25 &Cr=0&%20seot=0&__sid=1128C7B38FE2&R=1417041&__Ns= pCar_Priv%20ateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCoun t_Int32|1||p%20Car_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&tre cs=1
that say their average fuel consumption is 7-8l/100kms, something I find VERY hard to believe.
Which leads to the obvious question, what sort of economy are people getting?
Now I know that I don't exactly drive mine nice all the time, but then I don't flat stick it everywhere either. I'm getting in the 10 - 12L/100km's range, mostly closer to 12.
