The windows are getting the tint removed and new tint tomorrow, debating if I want to stick to that nice legal 35% or go a little darker with 15% all round

I dont think you have VR6 seats. They look like Audi 80 2.6 Quatro seats. Note the wide spacing of the headrest posts, the big hole in the head rest, the lack of bolsters in the seats. Also see how wide the seat is.

no see this is the trick:
the cops pull you over and test your windows
they say "is this legal?"
you answer "yes... at least the guy at the tint shop says it was..."
cop takes the details of the tint shop
the cop then visits the tint shop with your rego and says "did you tint this car?"
tinter answers "of course."
cop questions "it has 15% tint on it and he says you told him it was legal"
tinter answers "i thought he said it was a show car"
cop racks off
it is only illegal if you get caught.
20% is light enough in the day that they can't tell the difference and if you get pulled over at night, wind down all your windows before the cop gets to your door and make sure your interior lights are off.
Dark tint is a pain. Im not sure what level mine is, but i have problems cornering at night because i can see **** out of the side windows @*^%*!^%. Even ran up a big curb on the way home from dinner the other night because I just cant see.
The windows got done yesterday and look fantastic!
Got the amp hooked up today and I tell you it really makes a difference. If you have aftermarket speakers, even a $100 amp will make a hell of an improvement over running them off the headunit.
The heater will get done next week, a wheel alignment and balance to attempt to fix that slight pull to the left, then it's pretty much done... for now.
Airfilter, re-paint the brake calipers, lower it a couple of inches... These will get done over time...

Nothing to flash in the Audio department, Pioneer MP3 headunit and Pioneer 300W amp driving a couple of Sony 6x9's in the rear parcel shelf. The front splits are still there and are being run by the head unit.
The 6x9's give a decent bass response so I don't need a sub taking up my luggage space, which I use when I go racing. (Offroad Nitro RC racing)

Hey Hawk ,
Nice car, for some odd reason I only rediscovered this post today. NICE work mate. Like those window tint !!! I am seriously considering getting mine done before summer, could you tell me the specs of those tints and where and cost them if you don't mind.
Those lights suit your car 100%. As Golfer Earlier said Drop HIDs in them, I reckon angel eyes are nice but your dual hella are NICER , I guess the grass are always greener!! It's going to look hot man... I just got My HIDs, now they are cheap as man!!! I paid probably 200 and a little all up for tawian brand or you could double the price for europian brand like "Borsh" for better packaging.
You also got the fog light as well. SWEET !!! that pice is too good to be true. how many Kms has it done.
I believe there are HID's in there, although it could just be the look of the lights themselves.
They are not Hella, but some copy who's name I don't recall right now. Not sure if it's normal for this type of light or not but it seems I will have to remove part or all of the headlight to replace the parker bulbs since they are on the top of the assembly partly hidden by the strip across the front of the engine bay.
As for Tint.... it's *cough* 20% *cough*, the 35% just didin't look dark enough. Got a deal done through SolarTint Wetherill Park, $230 including stripping the old tint. Mind you this was a special special so you may not get it at that price, but the guy out there was pretty good.

I still want to have a look at the pod filter and replace it with something a little better, and while I'm there may as well go a little bit better with a cold air intake.
Also need to have a closer look at the slight pull to the left, but both the filter and that will have to wait until after I sell the MK1.
The rear power windows are a little noisy, but for the moment they work so they are not on the list.

wheel alignment = ~$40
get that first to see what is wrong with it, then if it is something other than that, they should be able to tell you whats wrong.
It looks hot man, you should do something awesome to it. like remove the door handles and replace them with solenoids or something haha. awesome job broseph.
