Ok this is a bit of a fake shoot - I test fitted my wheels today. In a nutshell, they rub! Bad. But I am hoping I can maybe shave the arch flares on the inside - its really close to fitting! like mm's!!
Anyway - heres a preview of how i hope my mk3 will be rolling in the near future:

The Falkens ended up stretching pretty nice!

I still haven't washed it so she's pretty dirty

Audi a6 Boleros give it a pretty unique look - whats the verdict?

The back wheels are rubbing pretty bad - but I am hoping I can fix it.

Anyhow let me know what you think, suggestions etc. I am debating rolling the guards / removing arch flares but I do kind of like them!Last edited by dark; 03-06-2011, 01:03 PM.

 I like it.

Wheels look good, fitment is perfect, stretch is nice too!

I reckon roll the lips flat on the arches (metal) and then trim the trim (plastics) and stick em back on. you wont have to be too picky about rolling the lips, cause well, you'll cover the edges back up with the trims, and it's matt black, so touch ups shouldn't be an issue!

MAD. can't wait to see it in person

oh, and what are the final specs on the wheels? 17x8, final ET? (yes I'm being lazy ) )

took them back off - till I can trim the flares and roll the guards - but I'll let you know when I put them back on.
I havent calculated the final offset but the bolero's have a 43mm offset, plus I'm running 15mm adapters on the front and 20mm on the back.

So who's rolled their fenders? Best way to go about it? I see you can buy one on ebay but seems like kind of a waste...
Photoshoot to come when I get my fenders sorted.

Also here's a list of stuff I still want to do (in no particular order):

 repaint
 Cat Back
 Smoked Fogs (purchased)
 Cooling System revamp
 Roll Guards
 Leather Interior
 VR LIP (have duckbill now)
 Aero Wipers
 Rear Wiper delete
 Mk4 Shift Knob (+shorten shaft)
 Vento front
 Strut Brace
 K&N Air Filter

 Some Day:

More Wheels - Rotiform Blq's maybe!
Cams / Chip/ Turbo or Supercharger
 Stage 2 Brake Upgrade
Bags maybe when I kill my coils!!
Sell the Mk3 and get an r32!

I did my front ones with a hammer. soon to do the back too. like this YouTube - ‪How To Roll Your Guards DIY - Mighty Car Mods (SE01 EP03)‬‏ I didnt crack the pain or anything andonly used a hair dryer. not that paint on yors would be such a pain to touch up

Up front you have to trim some of the fender liner which i did with a dremel. Up back theres some stuff in the fold apparently you can take a dremel to so you can roll them flat.sigpic
