kk, i dont seem to have any heat problems with the rears though and i have heard about the mk4 calipers being lighter though i'm not sure how much difference it makes?! i'm concentrating my monies elsewhere atm thoughmaybe after all my engine is back together

where did you get the mocal oil cooler from its looks sweet.
put up the link for the msd set up interest building
ok, a quick update been working at it everyday for the past week (as much as i can be bothered)! and have now gotten to the point of no return; The bottom end is also coming out now for some loving! DOH! . . .
Whilst things are out I started tidying up the wires, hiding, tucking and removing where i can, WHAT A JOB! I've re-routed, cut, soldered and shrink wrapped wires that many times my fingers are crying! I've even re-routed since i took the below pics todayIt may not turn out as sweet as the efforts overseas but i have no doubt it will look a sheeeet load cleaner than standard! (hopefully it all works once i'm done
)
Also got to painting a few things, i've always loved all black motors so thats what i'll be doing.
a couple-a-pics of the progress . . .
Notice the plastic cowling that hid wires and pipes along the top at the rear is now gone! the change i dont feel represents how much sweat and tears i poured into the relocation, oh well . . .
And to-do! eeeek lol
shot of my worn upper chain guide, the end has decintegrated so the rivets arent doing jack no more . . .
And one package has arrived with new water pump, head bolt set (unsure if ima use them now), sump plug and washers, mk4 metal head gasket, oil pan gasket, throttle body gasket, complete timing chain kit, door handle gaskets and random other gaskets. Perhaps the cheapest order i'll make coming in at $700
Untill next time . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Last edited by KI11Z; 25-05-2009, 11:53 PM.
