      • alright dudes, update time . . . . .

I bought myself two Stewart Warner 50mm black face oil temp and oil pressure gauges now my dilema was that i wanted to mount them as high as possible without mounting them on top of the dash; First thought was to buy a 3 gauge single din plate that clips into the radio slot, but was too low for me . . . So I had another thought of mounting them into where the air vent is i bought some 50mm pvc pipe and a lil flat piece of plastic, pics . . . . .

        PVC pipe

I shamfered the edge so the gauges would sit nicely in tem

Roughtly traced out the shape need for the delete

        trimmed and sat in place

        Welded blank in place

        Sanded

        the rear

        • Cut the holes required and placed in the gauge mounts (angled)

I had to trim down the gauge brackets and bend them out to secure ontot the pvc pipe

          mounted

Dummy fit to get the angles right

          welded, sanded and sprayed

What is happening with the panel directly to the right of the lightswitch, has it got tape on it or something?

I played around a bit huh, its brighter in the pics than what it actually is cuz i rushed the pics, but i placed a row of red led's along the top of the cluster and also replaced the lcd light with a red led, i didnt hook the other one up though; during this proccess i up both the lcd readouts, broke the fuel needle and wrecked my speedo! So not the most effective mod i've done haha . . . . however i would do it again

                          • Ah, I thought it might be some sensors playing up and you might have just taped them up . Stepped shiftlight sounds interesting. Good luck with it all mate.
