Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Also, is it a direct bolt on for the swing arms of golf mk4 to my mk2 including the rear parts?

Glad to see you got some pics up.
The engine is definitely SOHC looks like possibly a 2L but hard to tell without seeing the engine code.
All the vw 4 cylinder blocks look alike to me

Nothing wrong with that color- I'd strip the wheels and polish them! Just for some contrast

Yeah! After I found out how to upload them I started putting them up so it would be easier to see what I'm describing [emoji16]

I guess I won't be getting the engine since its not what I want.

The wheels, I already removed them. It's already sitting on steelies while I'm not using the car. I'm looking to get a set of BBS or rotiforms. It's kinda hard to look for parts in my area for I am from the Philippines. That's the reason why I'm looking to get parts from Australia atleast it's nearer than Europe or US.

I have also changed the shocks to bilstein sport and had the entire wirings fixed since I found out that a lot of them are either busted or toasted

I'll put up some more pics for reference

Nothing wrong with black 4 doors if you do them right.

Yeah I know! Actually it's my dream to have it in black it's just that I felt like I could have sticked with the silver color then worked with it using the money that I spent for the color change.

I like it better in black though[emoji13]

Can anyone here hook me up with the black trimming that goes from the windshield to the end of the roof? I'm talking about the one on top of the door that prohibits the water to go through the door... Thanks to whoever will answer [emoji4]
