You mean 16" rims maximum. Very few MK2's pull of 17"s and 18"s look terrible.

I agree, 17"s and 18"s make the car look awkward and doesn't give it a good stance. Ends up looking like a clown with big shoes, out of proportion. But some people like it. That's what's great about mk2's, there is a lot of individuality to be had.

I've always said that too, if it has the quarter lights and mirrors mounted further back it has to have small bumpers.

When i lived in the UK i hated seeing any Big Bumper Mk2's with anything before G reg too!

                    Yeah, 16" max.. and min!

With the bumpers, you can easily change to smalls from bigs. Just remove the old square shaped slide-on brackets for the big bumpers and put in the small round mounts in their place using one of the existing holes (one of them is in the correct place). Only difference is with the front you need the lower metal valance which will bolt straight on, the plastic lower grille piece which may need a bit of cutting to fit around the later front tow eye, and the lower splitter.

you need to buy them second hand as they are no longer produced, then you need to get them to fit the car either by welding and re-drilling or costly 4x100-5x112 adaptors. Both cars in the picture run welded and redrilled. The wheels are A6 winter wheels
