I got most of my parts from family overseas, but you can get the gear knob on ebay. I'm just going to get it running lower it and put some decent wheels on it for now.

A few more updates.
Now trying to find a Intercooler that will fit behind the bumper and still allow space for the condenser.

Clutch cable and accelerator cable done. Does anybody know where to get the intercooler piping done?

Mounted the intercooler, now just need to sort out the piping.

Bought a intercooler piping kit

Came with another intercooler, if it's easier I might use this one. I'm going to have a look tomorrow and decide, should also have most of the piping done tomorrow.

Hey man, I have a 1990 Mk2 8v GTI.. You are on your P's still and your going turbo? how much did it all cost with the conversion aswell. Im kinda keen to get it done aswell in the next year or so.. Cheers dude

I'm not on my p's anymore, although I started when I was and would've driven it if I had finished the car. So far it hasn't cost me that much. In my opinion if you want to do it, start as soon as possible. If you want more info pm me.

Got the new intercooler mounted and cold side piping done. Now just have to figure out the hot side and it should be almost ready.

Did you consider fitting the intercooler infrint of the rad at the top? Just removing those brackets..

Nice work so far with the conversion mate.

I do hope you'll be fitting some sort of mesh for the lower opening in the front clip to hide the blue piping. IMO it's tacky and unfitting of a red MKII to have it stick out so brightly like that. Otherwise I'm sure it's going to go like a cut snake

Nope, I'm going to install a condenser after I've sorted everything out. I also wouldn't have been able to use my quad light grille.

I will end up getting black hoses, but for now ill either cover it with some sort of plastic or just leave it. It doesn't bother me that much.
