      Small update.

I have tracked down and 2.0 16v abf with ce2 loom, ecu and box for the Jetta.

At this stage I am undecided if I should run it with the original K-Jet set up or go digi??
The Jetta is currently K-Jet with ce1 loom, so it would make the swap over a bit easier if I stuck with K-jet.

But a more modern injection system does sound nicer...What do you guys think?
      whatcha think?

I wouldn't mess about with Kjet, it would never run as well as with digifant. ABF is the best N/A engine VW have made IMO.

Yeah, after more research I have decided to stick with the digi. I'm looking for a reliable and more efficient daily driving so I think the more modern digi system will be the way.

Now thinking about the gearbox, I'm not sure on which box to use. The original 020 in the car or the 02a the abf comes with??
          whatcha think?

Decided to go with the original 020 box in the end. Pulling out the ABF out of the MK3 next week so I'll get some more photos up of that.

For now, only some $5 Merc hubcaps that I ran for a morning and then pulled them off haha!

ABF for the Jetta! Still sitting in it's old shell though...

This will be a couple of months off yet as I finish my thesis in June and don't want to get too distracted by it haha.
But that gives me some time to get everything sorted and ready for it!

Any plans to get the white piece between the bumper and grille?

White piece? You mean paint the lower part of the rallye grille?

                        I prefer it all black...

your car looks great mate!! Good work!!
I'd keep the square lights you have now, the round ones make it look like you always wanted a golf but you couldnt get it. I feel the same when they put a bora front on an mk4 golf

                            Thanks mate!
I have a single headlight front set up for it with badgeless grill but I think I will keep the rallye front on it.
Only one other Mk2 (a Rallye replica) in New Zealand with rallye fronts so that is a plus!

I won a set of wheels tonight on a local auction site for cheap. Dirt cheap!

They are Nissan JDM Z31 wheels, 4 x114.3 and 15x6 et 30 all around.

With some big adaptors and 165 tyres they may look alright. I have always liked weird turbine style wheels like these.

I am still undecided on them but for the price I paid I don't mind.

                                they'll look cool probably.

might be a bit too skinny. Should have held out for a set of corvette wheels!
