Can you run a supercharger on an 8V RV motor?

Or are you better off going a new motor (G60?) altogether?

I couldnt see why not, the g60 is also a 8v engine. Running a supercharger does get pretty expensive, i would rather go with a turbo setup

supercharger will came when it goes VR6

or ban brenner charger on a G60 lump is the other option.

RV motor could be dumped and replaced with a PB motor, get the car on the road and running...then the fun begins

oh yeah, the car is being pick up on friday, transporter booked.

custom setup for either would end up costing similar. some might say there's less fab work needed for the SC set up, cause you can run standard manifolds etc. It's been covered a few times on here. have a quick search if you're really interested.

If you use a 2L Transporter bottom end and an RV head. That is basically a G60 engine and strong enough for a supercharger

you might need a metal headgasket or 2 for decompression.

i think a vr6 to start with would be much nicer though. plug and play.. kinda. Australia needs more vr6 mk2s. there's only 2 or 3.

                            The car is home,

Engine turns over but there is more fumes coming out of the water expansion tank than the tail pips lol....I think that would be the head gasket

so, do i bother stripping this engine and replacing the gasket and skimming the head or just get a new lump to drop in. I am thinking a new lump would be easier.
