Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Thanks boys.

Been getting the car ready for Winton for the "Club circuit track day" on the 13th this month.

205/50/15 Advans 050 are on the Oz racings, interior stripped, bride bucket seats, rear strut bar. Car feels amazing on the road, can't wait to see what it can do on the track!

(still have to bolt in the rear strut brace, lol)

Sweet work dude, the phat rubber would look good as!

Word of caution, I'm un aware if those are legit or rep seats, but if rep, be veeeery careful as I have heard some horror stories on them (reclinable ones in particular).

Looking forward to hitting the track with ya!

Any noticable difference with the lower strut brace?

Made a noticeable difference, feels 'tighter' in a way.

That's what I keep telling everyone, lower strut brace and rear sway bar make the biggest improvements.

One day someone will believe me.

Nice seeing it in good hands! Looks like you still havent noticed the bend right lower control arm! Thats why the steering wheel of center and it pulls a bit to the side.

Winton was super fun, was quite surprised how well the golf handled the track. Managed a 1:45.52 for the day

Came 12th overall for the day, pretty happy!

Here are the results - Result

Will be out again at Winton on the 14/03 for labour day.

That last shot looks good. Just keep an eye on the steering rack mounts running those fat semis. From what i understand, they tend to snap your steering rack clean off
