Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Very smooth, don't think it would of played much of an impact on overall PB!

Been busy getting the car ready for its next track day ( which was yesterday )

      - New rear discs with new bearings and QFM racing pads, along with a camber shim with brought out the rears to -1.70 degrees of camber.

      - On the front I upgraded the brakes to 280mm using the G60 disc and VR6 calipers, QFM racing pads aswell. I also got a hold of a flipping the tie rod ends with the help of my dad using a magnetic drill! Sandblasted the hubs and painted them after.

I got around installing the Ground Control camber tops too.

Camber is around -3.95 on the front, has made a big difference in corner speed and grip, very happy! I flushed the whole system with racing black fluid and gave the engine a service. Flushed the coolant system with some racing penrite coolant which actually help alot on the day keeping the temps down.

Got a cool photo by a friend while it was getting wheel alignment at MTN garage.

Race day didn't go so well, car was would start misfiring after the engine got heated up. I managed to find some new plugs locally and did a one clean session out of the day then the problem came back! Think I'm in for some new NGK plugs, proper racing leads and a new dizzy rotor and cap! Hopefully that will sort my issues out

Havn't done much on the golf, I've been busy with my S3 last 2 months getting the new motor in and getting everything sorted for tuners etc.

Got around rebuilding a set of 15 BBS RS's for it thou, the A050 semi slicks were a little to harsh for the street.

Gave the car a clay bath and polish too.

                    More than tasty.

                    Red MK1 2 door on BBS's.

Doesn't get much better than that.
