  • Bought an MK1 :D :D

well it wasnt really on the plans but ive been eying off everyone elses mk1 projects, and also been craving a 3dr golf of some sort. so when jayjay suggested buying an mk1 i thought hell why not.

so anyway here it is. its a genuine one owner! been garaged its whole life from 1977. absolutely no rust. some of you might have seen it on ebay. not sure what we have planned for it yet. we were thinking possibly 16v? shame they're so hard to come by over here though. so yep fire away with any suggestions

heres some crappy pictures. i know its not a swallowtail but im not a purist like some of you

You’ve done very well A 2 door GLS is extremely rare in Aus and much more of a sort after beast than the common LS with leftover swallowtail rear panels banged on the back. I just don’t get the obsession with the Mk1 swallowtail, especially given their history in Australia

I hope you give it the treatment it deserves

Yeah get the front repaired and leave it original. Good Mk1 Goofs are getting harder and harder to come by.

PLEASE leave it original. Otherwise i'll have to get josh messed up on LSD and get him to sodomise you in your sleep...

                      Top score!

Leave it original OR if you want to do something differnt perhaps you can add some Gulf decals and turn it into a Gulf car

                        Nah leave it ridgy didge.

Leave the Gulf decals for porsche nuts.

And yes Tim, josh probably would do it without the drugs. Might be a good idea to keep him off them incase he thinks its a good idea to start self mutilating or something. Well actually he probably does that already too.

Oh and Mischa, don't forget... Straight in, no kissing!

Ok, but keep it original on the body etc. Otherwise Josh is going to get medievil on your ass!
