    • Never seen that before. Might be time for an upper stress bar.

You going to reinforce it or just weld it up?

      • The plan is to weld the crack and reinforce with a strut brace. Hopefully that will be sufficient to prevent it happening again

          • Ouuuuch. Suspension is too stiff by the looks of it! Could it be the lack of washer?

It's possible. But it looks like the cracking has come from below, so I doubt the washer is the issue

the bc's are a much more refined and absorbing setup than the TAtechnix or Joms though

                • So it's been a while, and although there isn't much to tell, the forum seems kind of dead anyway.

I welded the crack and reinforced with a stress bar as planned, and it seems much better. I improved on my PB around Winton in December.

I replaced both front ball joints, tie rod ends and wheel bearings to dial it in on the track, as well as replaced the rear main seal that was pissing oil into the bellhousing. Winton had taken its toll on the sweetheart that's for sure.

How's that for some original 40 year old ball joints...

As of recently, my second car has cracked the sads with an undiagnosed issue that has prevented it from being the reliable daily driver it was meant to be, and as such, the sweetheart has taken over all of the everyday activities.

Here she is towing what is likely twice as much as what is safe let alone legal...
And finally just some glory shots from cars and coffee a few weeks back.

                    • X2 on the forum feeling dead, but I'm sure slapping a set of 13"s on the sweetheart would do the trick haha
