Couldn't you of taken a better shot of my MK2? That light caught every ripple in my bent bonnet where all the rest of the car is perfect.

Was great to drive the MK1 though. I forgot how much fun they can be.

I enjoyed the drive in your Mk2. Has been a very long time since I have been in a Mk1 or Mk2 that is running.

They are always fun to drive.

Ordering the above welder monday or tuesday, depends on when my pay is cleared. Will teach the missus how to MIG weld and who knows, she might be a good welder and love it...

Gonna do heaps over next weekend once I have the mounts.

List of what would hopefully happen:

1) Fit engine in bay
2) strip interior completely out.
3) Cut out the two tunnels and swap the S3 tunnel into the Mk1.
4) Fill all holes in the engine bay that was put in recklessly.

Paid for the welder 30min ago. Mounts should be in my hands tomorrow arvo... They areived in fyshwick at around lunch time...

So, yesterday was the ****test day of my life, never ever will I be able to play footy again... No matter how bad I want to... BUT, this made me very happy and makes me look forward to this awesome build...

Yes Paul, exactly that.

But on a different note, did a bit of work and played around with the new welder for a little while. Need to get my settings right. But here are a few pics:



Hopefully I can get the welder settings set and start welding everything I want to weld and also put some extra welds on the original mounts inside the bay.
