Very easy to make as long as you cut the 3 pieces (lower bar) to the correct size. Don't rush it and think about what you are doing and it should work out 1st go.

Upper bar is a bit harder because it also has to clear the engine. It's not really needed and I wouldn't bother with one if I had another MK1.

    Cheers

is there a lower rear brace for a mk1?

No lower bar at the back but you could build an upper bar at the back between the top of the suspension towers. It's a bit harder to show your mates because it would be very close to the rear seat and only viewable with the hatch open. Makes bugger all difference to the handling though.

Fit a front lower bar and a rear sway bar and impress your mates by going through roundabouts at double the speed limit.

tell you what a good present would be right now, a step by step guide on how to wire this stupid thing. i love it but it, with the lack of a non rude word, annoys me to hell

go to try and start the car today, wont start, the alternator (timing belt?) belt is really slow but dad thinks its because the battery isnt holding charge right, any tips/expertise on the matter? and do you need that catch can lookin thing that goes under the fender to pass rego?

Sounds like the battery needs charging.

Catch can is part of the (ancient) pollution system. Rego might not care about it but you don't know. Leave it on for now and remove it after rego.

                      Cheers

Usually it's a screw with a spring around it on the side of the carbie, turned by a screwdriver (flat not Phillips) . Do a Google search on whatever model carbie you have to show exactly where it is.

What's the little cylinder thing? Is it on the carbie end or foot pedal end?

                                Cheers
