Finally got a chance to upload some pics

Most of the little vaccuum lines etc have been run, but still have to finish cutting the silicone down to size for the intercooler piping.

I'm using a Sard rising rate FPR, which is a very neat little thing:

Welded on a -10 Speedflow bung to the rocker cover as a good breather setup is a must for a 16vT. I did buy a new Beetle oil cap breather, but it looked ugly and the placement is right above a cam lobe, so hardly ideal:

Speedflow and Earls fittings are used throughout. Ceramic-coated stainless DP from BBM is in place too:

Also waiting on the overflow bottle to be made, but that isn't due until the 18th. The car is taking a lot longer than expected this time, as there's been so much time spent waiting for parts - getting stuck in properly around Christmas time didn't help the delay problems either!!

A lot more progress will be made again this coming week with pics to follow of course

Looking good! Wish I had the time to tackle something like that. Any idea how many hours so far?

And where/how did you find the go fast bits?

I haven't kept a tally of the hours on this car, though I did on the last one - but can't remember what it was in the end!!! It is several thousand odd, though, the majority of which is in the bodywork, by far.

I can't comprehend what people must pay to have a car built completely by someone else

At this point, mine is handed over to an engineer at Autocraft (where I also work!) to finish up, as I don't have near enough knowledge to fine tune the little (but important) details.

The engine bits are not really hard to come by. The manifolds and engine internals are all from Bahn Brenner Motorsport, the turbo from Boostfactory.net, the hardware from eurospecsport.com, and all the fittings and alloy tanks are from Motorsport Connections in Sydney.

There are of course lots of other bits and pieces, but most of these are out of Europe and just a matter of looking/being in the right place at the right time - this was the case with my ECU!!
