Thanks The breather bottle is pretty big really - though apparently the gunk build up on one of these will be pretty bad, so I put a tap on the bottom of the tank!

I also had one on my ITB engine and it used to catch quite a lot aswell, and that was just from the crank case vent. Your rocker cover looks very smooth all shaved back, but welding an outlet onto it might be something to consider for you too?

It'll probably battle to run a 13 with fully-inflated street tyres on, I reckon, as the wheelspin will be stupid.

I intend to take it to the drags at least once with my eBay M/T slicks, though, just out of curiousity... but also to surprise some people

...I still have to finish painting the panels Over bodywork well and truly

yer i have a bottle already run and hidden in the wing but i was more wondering about breathability as i am just running 1x 8 an outlet for mine of the standard breather port, and i was wondering if this is enough

yer i wish i could get someone to help me out with the body work to it really is the most painful part of the hole affair

For those that are interested, we were just setting up a WRX on the corner weight scales for Targa and decided to drop the little golf on to see what she'd weigh.

I placed a bet of 650-700kg (bearing in mind it is missing removable panels and glass, plus a passenger seat)...

It weighed 475.6kg with a 26% front bias. I didn't bother to write down the individual corners as they're not yet relevant. I was very surprised to say the least!!

In any case, I've also individually weighed all the panels and trim and carbon bits and it gives a total weight of around 710kg. The car is fuelled comfortably for 400hp/300kW, but obviously, I don't intend to run it that high, as that is better power to weight than a Veyron with... with FWD and road legal 195 tyres

P.S. It runs now First crank of the key. Over-fuelling a bit at idle, but I expected that. Haven't had a chance to fine tune anything - was too busy listening to the wastegate and poofter valve - lol!!

Phwoar that looks absolutely tits! And terrifying to know it could reach a higher power:weight than a Veyron! Can't wait to see this at the Nats.
