Sure it's not the easy lil white cog that needs fixing? That shiz is easy to fix.

The guy I send them to fixes that. Checks over everything else and gives the whole unit a service. I might have a crack at fixing one myself, though.

i once did about 600kms and she was on redline, but I forgot to fill up. 100kms later I realised the needle was well below the redline, and decided it was time to fill up! probably had another 50kms in her too

Since we are on the subject of driving diesel mk1's I had one for a good 3 odd years I not once put oil or water in it , those motors are seriously indesctructable. Only gave it away as I drove it for a year without rego , thinking my old man had payed for it (but he put the sticker on without paying for it), and it needed a blue slip and was looking like to much work. Lucky year looking back on it.

I'm ringing you in the morning to discuss replacement! Haha.

No just kidding. The odometer has stopped pretty much where every Mk1 I've seen has. I'll send another one off and have it fixed up I reckon. Then I can just swap it over when I have time.

By the way.. The old Biodiesel isn't liking the cold weather starts much. She's a bit fat when I first start it in the morning or at night when it's dead cold... Haha.

up in your neck of the woods preen i would put a new set of glow plugs in it - that will help the cold starts a lot. also, if your running bio you can afford to advance the timing a little to improve the starting and also power and economy. a good mod for the stock glow circuit is to swap out the fuse and fuse holder for a 40A circuit breaker from supercheap auto.

if you want I can help with the injector pump timing tools.
