              so its no 3 piece rebuild or anything but started jazzing up the wheels...
              will repaint the centres when i find a gold paint im happy with..
              started like this.


              stripped off the paint on the lip..

              close up of the corrosion, this is the worst of it.

              to reveal, after some solid elbow grease application, a nice solid shiny lip

              its hard to see on its own so here it is in comparison to the others..


              now to finish the others and repaint the centres..
              Driving the coal. Low and rattly.

                    Those wheels look good as !!

                    How wide are they?
                    - Orange Golf mk1 LS, 1.8 5speed, 32/36 - sold
                    - Golf mk1 Swallowtail rebuild, completely stripped
                    - Brown U.S import 81 cabby
                    - 88 Honda crx b18cr

                      13x6 so pretty mild in the scheme of things, but should be nice and practical for daily usage.

                              They'd look apsolutely sick if they were 13x8. Keen to see the outcome !
