      • its all wired up, i redesigned the manifold for the throttle bodies so they connect in a better way than silicone pipes, they basically locate in a recess and seal via o rings .attached the carbon inlet and routed the rest of the lines.and painted bits n pieces

am really happy with the motor, just gotta get it out and do the diff and cams and clutch and so on and then finish the body work

am toying with painting it myself

It would be the icing on the cake in my eyes. A car that you've really truely built all yourself.

Doesn't matter if it doesn't come out of the gun great, a great detailer would be able to finish it nicely probably. (imo)

          Besides; pro resprays are expensive!

            • I am tempted to go satin also. I have been reading up on it a bit. Not sure if is true but people say you can't polish marks out (sort of makes sense) and that bird crap stains it....

You'd be surprised actually! Without the gloss to blend it together, each pass doesn't flow together quite as well, so you really do need your **** together!

If you can do it well yourself, that's several thousand dollars to spend elsewhere

                • P.S. Don't ruin it with satin paint anyway

i also read from start to finish..... a lot of respect to you for the time and effort you've put into this car, not to forget the attention to detail. 3.5yrs and counting with this project.....i'm sure it will be well worth it once done.

                      Cheers,
                      Rhys

Be careful with that - I found out the hard way that Carbon fibre is conductive! (and smells terrible when it burns)

                            Car looks great!
