I grew up cruising around in a bay window dual cab Kombi (With opening rear side windows! ).

Thems were the days. My parent's cars consisted of a bay window dual cab, '69 beetle and '62 Karmann Ghia.

I recommend the Caddys, Alex. But I would suggest manual if I was you.. The DSGs have been chewing up from what I hear.

Yup, I've been getting a lot of people saying the DSG and tiptronics of VAG cars are all lunching themselves nowadays at my work too.

Just try out the ride in the back - leaf rear might be ok for crates but is it ok for kids? I have no idea, but often wondered what it would be like.

Dunno if it helps, but i had a KE55 corolla which has leaf springs, i had 1 leaf added to each pack and lowered 3" and it rode fine. Was more comfy in back then the front

Dont know if that applies to a Caddy....

              • Bag it alex. Do it properly. and put an adjustable dial in the dash so you can adjust ride height depending on the load. Used to have that setup in my old '83 F250 when I was towing cars! And its the smoothest ride ever!!!

                            • cheers bro, not cams specced , as i belief alloy now is not approved by cams, basically was built with much study and a understanding of structural rigidity , wanted to tie in the strongest areas of the car making it one rigid structure.(rear suspension turrets, b pillars, and a pillars) treating it like a skeleton, an underlining structure , the bones under the skin.
Just getting the finishing touches done on the dash and it will be going in.
