      • Thanks for caring guys

Yeah i guess im pretty happy that the parts are replace able and i actually have half of the parts already. Im lucky my new fender wasnt on yet, and my HID's actually didnt break, they just got pushed in so im pretty happy about that. I've already changed the rear quarter window, however the front is a problem. The seal seems to be siliconed on, and the more i move it the more it breaks. I think ill need a new front seal.

I have an idea of who did it but dont want to retaliate Huss haha. It would only make matters worse

If anyone would happen to have a spare passenger mirror and a driver side headlight they would like to donate, it would be apreciated

Police are invovled as one of the kids got injured by the group that came to crash it. They wont be able to find out who did what. I know the group who did it but dont know who the individuals were. I'll find out and take care of it later on haha

Just concentrating on replacing everything for the time being to get it ready for the SW meet. Does anyone have tips of how to take off the windshield seal without tearing it, as i think the suns f*cked it. Where can i get replacements, or how can i take it off without breaking it.. i think its been siliconed on?

              • Even when vandalized your car looks ****ing pimp! I've got a manual adjusting mirror here if you need it mate. The plastic is in pretty shocking condition but the glass is fine.

                • George spray the window seals with windex as it helps them slide off the metal but you have to be very patient.

                  • dude that seriously sucks, what a bunch of fkn nobs...

spray it with windex to soften to seals and then sit inside your car and using your feet apply even pressure on the perimeter of the glass, its laminated so it wont actually break anymore so long as your careful...had a windscreen bonded in and got it out this way

                    • I'm looking at this on my iPhone and it not easy to see but is there only the one dent in the middle of the bonnet?

If so, paintless dent removal could be a cheaper way to go than a respray and/or new bonnet.

Good luck with sorting it all out.

Hey dude thanks for that it helped a fair bit actually. But i still had to cut a tiny bit of the rubber off as it seemed to be glued/melted off?

I managed to put the windshield in but it still a bit wonky and moves around a tiny bit. When i drove i noticed air still getting in. I can only guess that i needed to silicone it in? Ill add silicone tmoro to stabalize it, my mate said that all windsheilds are siliconed on but i've never had to do them before and this is my first window transplant i've done..

How do i apply glue or silicone?

Yep mate it just that one big on in the middle and a few smaller scratches around. I thought about it, and said stuff paying money to sand down, strip, and re paint it. Ill just buy some CF vinyl and wrap the bonnet. Just have to smooth over the scratches and knock out the dint.

Saw my mates bonnet wrapped in CF vinyl and came out nuts !!

                          • don't need any glue or silicone for a mk 1 windscreen mate

just alot of patience. of course make sure the seal isn't ripped/torn, and the surface is clean and debris free. Need to give them a fair whack to get em in. Pro's make it look easy though!

You sure mate? Haha maybe i did it wrong, as it went in easy as. I used the rope method.

It just moves a bit back and forth and i can hear wind noise when i drive. Maybe i did it wrong, but it all seems to have fitted in properly. Hmmmm wonder waht could have went wrong

Where am i able to get a new seel from.. and the price if anyone has ever bought one locally?

                              • As Jarred said no glue is needed.

Plenty of windex on ther corners and rope when fitting the screen.

Also get a mate on the inside with the rope whilst one of you whacks the screen in.

I know when Jarred and I fitted his it took at least 3 goes.
