Thats funny it has a very distinct smell. I know it well.

My son, now nine remembers vaguely me having one , red about 6 years ago.

As soon as I came to australia and he got in my new one, he stated "Dad this smells just like your red car...."

Kids they forget nothing, he hasn't mentioned it since the day he had last got in my old red one about 6 years ago. It really made me happy about owning it..Thinking to myself, yeah he's spot on.

Which is usually slightly musty in winter, and of the vintage vinyl cooking in the summer warmth.

                    • When you don't have to slow for certain bends that others slow for (eg the bend over the bridge outside the zoo - 50km/h no worries, though the back end wants to skip a little).

                        • When you dare to open the glove box, then it won't stay shut and loudly pops open going over every bump. Grrrrrrrr.

Nah a 50 zone. I don't speed. And just the other side of the bridge is an intersection so wouldn't want to come on to it too fast in case some fool cuts you off.

Actually tonight I was behind other cars that didn't slow for that corner either so.... it's just fun in a MK1.

(A few years ago some lads took that corner way too fast and ended up in the river with fatal consequences.)
