    • Still at the exhausts shop They might make me miss engineering
But the owner of the shop builds hot rods and reckons he will sort the engineering for me for cheeper as a consolation prize. We will see.

                • Took it for a good unregistered burn last night under cover of darkness. Woot Woot what a hoot. Car has heaps of power and handled great.

Had a late one here with my mate Beau sorting out the wiring and now car consistantly cold starts!

Fixed a couple of little oil leaks and some other probs.

Need to put the passenger seat in and the seatbelts then its nearly ready.

On paper the 16v is faster, but the VR6 makes a better noise.
16v Mk1 felt pretty quick though. And dangerous with the wheels all unaligned

                          • Update.

Knocked the shed down over Chrissy, so car has been sitting on the grass outside my house for 8 weeks untouched and unloved.

New shed now has a roof, but no walls so we pushed it inside last weekend.
No chance of the thing starting and I was feeling pretty peeved about the whole project.

Then I went to Pic and payless and got a Volvo fuel metering head, same Bosch part, hooked that up. Few noises, went if i poured petrol in the top, but wouldnt run.

Tried moving the accumulator, different accumulator, different pump. Everything. Still sounds like it needs petrol and wouldn`t rev.

Then DOH put petrol in it. Wouldn`t start on the little bit in the tank, but with 20Ls of the good stuff we are in.

                            WAHOO.

                            Starts, revs and runs.

Now I can be arsed to put the rest of it together. See you at the nats.
