I've always said I want to own a Mk1 GTI before I die. Now that I can tick that off the bucket list there's no real goal in mind. I do want to tidy the interior up and get it in as best condition as possible. I wonder if you can get a new set of covers for the seats and a new carpet? I know the ones in there are original and all, but it would be nice for the inside to look as tidy as the outside. ^^^ prepares to be told off by resident enthusiasts

Liam, regards the inside. Click on the Newton Commercial link on UK Mk1 site, they do the lot NEW. Headling, carpets, bolster kits & seat covers (leather available). Paid members on the UK site get 10% discount. Happy to be of assistance if you decide you want stuff from there, just drop me a PM.
