+1 for a good move. the phone dials are a great wheel also, are you getting them polished up or are they fine as they were. liking the sound of the whitewalls aswell!
not too bad at the moment, will definately need a paint then polish up, but no dints or gutter rash. got them at a good price. want them to look like this
if you want them all silver powdercoating might also be a cheap option. thats a good size whitewall in the picture aswell.
with the shoe polish, if the bumpers are heavily faded the shoe polish won't do much use, i had a arch guard on mine that was really sunfaded and just wouldnt take the polish, whereas the other plastics seem to be more supply and absorb more readily. worth a shot though
Another vote for the shoe polish on the bumpers. My audi's bumpers were really worn, and the shoe polish worked a treat. make sure you get the one in the 'curvy' bottle with the foam applicator on it. all the pro detailers hate us saying this, but it works, it'll make em black and only cost you 4 bucks.
yeah they are grey guys, so no go with the shoe polish. i really want the smaller black bumper now i think. the bumpers i have got are missing the silver strip also.

thinking about getting rid of the front bumper all together. what do u think?
car looks great polished up! how about some interior pics? I didn't get to see inside her when she was at Vpower, cause she was up on the hoist.
i wouldn't run with out a front bumper. esp on standard (and quite old) mk 1 brakes! mk 1's dont have crumple zones, the bumpers are really the only protection in a frontal crash, without the bumper, the body will just crumble around the impact. it would be wise to run a bumper of sorts. (if you plan on driving it lots that is, takin them off for show is another thing)
