yeah diesel engine will stay for now, a little gutless though. just want new set of rims, lower it a little, body is excellent and will come up a treat with a cut and polish. hopefully i can make the bumpers look a little better cos the paint is coming off. theres a tiny tear in the lining of the roof but thats all that is wrong inside.... LOVE IT....first VW and what a find.

                any ideas for rims??

any ideas what else makes them look even better than they do??

                  UPDATE ON THE MK1

Still haven't bloody got it... RWC is taking a little longer than expected. Owner has promised me tomorrow. Heres Hoping!!!!

Still cant find the right rims for it, found some i liked but they need polishing and to be honest this sounds like a lot of hard work, not sure if i am up to the challenge.

Parts i am looking for if anyone has them:

                  GTI grill
                  15" wheels!!!!
front and rear crome bumpers or black ones (really not sure yet)

                  Thanks guys

if there originally black, the wax will blacken it up and make it shin.

i put it all over my interior

Glad to see you went with the oldschool/retro look wheels rather than the import type wheels.

Should look good with the whitewalls.

+1 for a good move. the phone dials are a great wheel also, are you getting them polished up or are they fine as they were. liking the sound of the whitewalls aswell!
