I will be quite up front here. I am going to delete any pointless posts in this and any other thread that are not constructive.

The site is degenerating beyond reasonable and faster than moderators can keep up.

I think that yes, we have a new young member that is enthusiastic, however, we need to have this member use restraint and consideration before posting as well.

I think that everyone needs to be adult about this and get along together. I think that is someone is talking smack about engines, all you can do is call them on it, as obviously pointing out all of their errors will get you and them offside with each other.

There are some members here who posts I skip over because they add little value to my time here. I spose some of the more learned members should focus on sharing their level of knowledge, but avoid doing so when the posts are clearly half thoughts.

Yes, congrats on a first car, in the condition you would expect for a garaged 30 year old unit.

hey buddy i read your whole thread...

          i don't wanna have a go at you so i won't

i would sit down right now and ponder what you want...a 2/4 door...big motor/stock etc

make your mind up and get it...you did the same thing i did... first golf i bought was a modded 4 door... didn't like it so i got a 2 door...wrote it off and then went back to my original dream... to finish my bug...

what ever you do bro just don't drive like an idiot...(i would keep the motor stock until you get some driving experience, being on your learners is just not enough...at least 6 months driving by yourself and you will understand )because you will ruin your car and rep.

i like what your doing bro keep at it...and pleaseeee get some decent photos before i need another panadol

I don't think the youngsters being quiet and listening is a very productive learning method. Asking questions is! You can't really expect the young'uns to sign up and just listen for weeks. I agree that 16v kid has made a few comments that are incorrect and needed to be rectified, but its the way that people respond, it's derogatory and not needed/wanted. People just need to put him on the right path.

I fully agree with you regarding the elders (or even just those more knowledgeable) 'steering' the youngsters though loon, it's easy to give a bit of good friendly advice like most do on this site..... and it's those that are keeping this site attached to be honest.

                    well done!

If you are going to sell it on then leave the suspension stock mate. You dont get any extra dollars if its been tampered with.
