Cheers! Though the bumper still has some fishoil stains from when I treated the rust on the inside. Any ideas how to remove it?
The car also looks to high now after browsing through some pics of lowered Golfs. Never thought I'd say that - not been a fan of too much lowering and always wanted to keep mine stock...maybe it's time for a change and some tasteful customising.

maybe some grease and oil remover, and then metal polish for the bumper???
Re; lowered suspension, take and inch out of the height and it'll looks much better, more sporty even! Might make it handle better too.
Just lower her and it will make a world of difference to the appearance.
Cheers mate! I love driving it.
As for lowering, I wouldn't really know where to start, other than not wanting anything too outrageous. I think the rear shockers need replacing if that makes any difference.
more sanding inside lately, bare-metalling before putting the por-15 on.
more "decorative" goodies turned up today, all will probably be going on after the car is painted / looking better lol.
24mm rear sway bar also turned up, better fit that soonish.
on the green mk1, swapped all the struts and wheels over from the yellow 2door yesterday with the help of eric (tas_euro_mk1). thanks heaps cobber,
icy poles all round to celebrate! lol
Gave to old cabby a good once over, with 303 protectant on the roof and lining along with all the vinyl, and cleaned the upholstery with some VW shampoo which really kicked ass!
Next job is to replace front engine mount and start thinking about tyres and coilovers!
