Does this kit include new idler and tensioner pulleys? For $360 I think it should. Jim

Maybe ask them if it has everything?

I had a service including a new t belt and injector pump belt. three weeks later the motor stopped. It has no compression on all cylinders. I am hoping it is something that the service provider did wrong as I suspect bent and smashed everything. the motor spins over so not seized.

Sorry mate, it sounds like your mechanic has really ****ed it up for you there. I would agree with your diagnosis.
Make sure your actions are above reproach and hopefully you'll get a good result (shame about the headache though).
Out of interest - I assume this is a 2.5 TDI?'07 Touareg V6 TDI with air suspension

I read somewhere on this forum about different types of diesel engines in relation to timing belt failures , on some models timing belt failure will not put pistons into valves as they are described as non interference engines . Others well bye bye engine .

All the diesels are interference engines. The high compression ratio in a diesel means that there is almost no clearance at all between the piston crown and the surface of the head. On TDI's especially, as the combustion chamber is a pocket in the piston crown (which is not wide enough or placed for valves to poke into)Last edited by gldgti; 05-08-2016, 04:15 PM.'07 Touareg V6 TDI with air suspension

Vehicle now at repairers. All indications are that timing belt has not slipped and timing was correct. A compression test shows no compression on any cylinder. Repairer now in process of removing head to see what happened internally. He has no idea of what the problem can be at the moment

I can tell you that it is definitely possible for the belt to jump (even when tensioned properly) but unlikely this has happened.
My next thought would be the crankshaft sprocket: The proper way to do the timing belt is to remove the harmonic balancer/vee belt pulley from the sprocket via the socket head cap screws, leaving the sprocket on the crank nose. However, I know sometimes people will shortcut that by removing the large bolt holding the sprocket onto the crank instead (quick and dirty, but heavy impact driver required).
Having said all that - even though vag-cat parts catalogue shows that the sproket/pulley is 2 parts with socket head capscrews retaining the pulley onto the sprocket, I think (but an not sure) that there are some 5 cylinder engines where its all retained just by the m18 sprocket bolt into the crank nose..... Thats just a hunch Ive got as I remember my dad having some issue with it when he changed to timing belt on his T4 2.5TDI.'07 Touareg V6 TDI with air suspension
