Just got a call from Ian's, my car needs the replacements, but they need to order the injectors in so I cannot drive the car as the car is now suddenly "dangerous". I am surprised they hadnt ordered the parts already.
Now I am stuck with a petrol Polo till Monday.

Nonsense! We've all been driving these ticking time bombs for 5 years now -I'm sure a few more days wait won't put you into any danger. If it truly was as dangerous as they say they would have done a recall years ago when they knew the problem existed.

Lol a ticking time bomb were the exact words I had used when booking it in. Well lets see how things go. I don't want to fight with them to release the can and then have a we told you so scenario. My bigger issue is with the polo I got in return as a loan car.

Probably due to the risk of them dying out suddenly and causing an issue. Now they have inspected it, it could lead to legal issues. Lol. Should I ask them to send me an email just to see what reason they give?

Dont get me started, potentially very dangerous it is! Think in the USA a potential class action forced the recall.

It was started in the UK, and spread from there. The ACCC has no teeth, thus we got the current "silent" recall.

It's quite incredible a public recall hasn't taken place....

Considering, yes the TDI 125kw engines are normally on city runs. There would be quite a few out there that are bought because of long country runs (like myself) that have been stranded in the middle of no where because of this problem.

Thankfully, it never happened. Shame on VWoA for not bringing it to the public's attention, it just damages their brand. People talk.

Two weeks ago I made a booking to have my injectors replaced under the recall, The service technician checked my Vin number and told me my car was indeed one which had to have the injectors replace under the recall, I was told to have the car there at 7.30 sharp so it could be done in the one day,
At 2.45 today I received a phone call from Nepean VW telling me my car had been approved and they were about to order the injectors for the job, when I questioned the service man about their commitment to have the car ready today ,he told me they don't order the injectors until they inspect the vehicle ,even though it was on the service sheet for injector replacement under the 23H9 recall.
I read on here how people have had their injectors replaced in one day yet i'm led to believe that they only order the injector on inspection of the vehicle ,
Could some throw some light on the matter or is it Nepeans neglect in not ordering the parts .
