Your EGR is highly clogged. Mine was about half that. Glad it's gone eh?

So no gas flows through the EGR at all now?

I used a toothbrush but didn't think of flossing it with a rag strip.. Damit.. Next time hey

Glad you didn't see it last week haha. It gets so filthy out that way when the roads a little wet.

            You've ben quiet Jazd.

            Hows the EGR delete going?
Any plans to remove the EGR pipe (to cooler) or just leave it there?

With the rotors and pads... Any chance it got rid of the intense amount of brake dust?

Yeah the EGR delete pipe is in, no problems other than the rubber hose popping off it a few times because its too short after I cut the metal crimped on clip off the end of it. I bought some silicone hoses to replace it. Might remove the cooler when I'm replacing my turbo temperature sensor.

Yeah it did cut it back, can't say I'm that impressed with the stopping power though. The old original setup felt better.

I got DBA street series slotted rotors with Remsa pads, works great, pretty much no dust, a bit less initial bite than OEM but that's actually a good thing. What are you running jazd? Can't seem to find a mention from previous posts.

EGR off on mine too now, so much less smoke! Mine was pretty filthy too.

Mine are Hawk HPS pads. Yeah less bite would be expected but it takes a while for them to warm up or something before they stop well. I have slotted Adams rotors on the front.

Awesome result, how did you remove the EGR? Buy a Darkside kit?

Yup got the EGR delete kit that leaves the ASV in place.

With the EGR cooler, other than the fact that it is now useless, are there any other advantages to removing it?

Weight? haha not much. But blocking off the exhaust manifold port could help with exhaust flow.

Lusting after one of these, Darkside must have just developed it -

Also I got a new BT OBD port dongle that can read all the value blocks from the ECU (same as VCDS). The author of the Torque android app just added support for it. I'm working on a ID/label file for it now so all the data is interpreted correctly. But yeah it works!

                            Hey Jared.

What's the name of the app and the dongle? Been thinking of doing this for a while now...

It's a wbh-BT4 adapter, $70 or so from Germany. App is Torque from the Android play store. I'll post you up the label file when I have it sorted

I replaced my G235 exhaust gas temperature sensor yesterday, the one before the turbo. It had been throwing an engine light and reading 1000 deg C.
It was fairly easy to get at from under the car, I think mainly because on the PD170 engine the turbo is mounted higher making it easier (others had said it was a bitch to get at).

Part number I looked up on ETKA and installed was 03L906088BS for those who might run into the same problem with the BMN engine. For some reason there was a 03L906088AN sensor installed in my car on which the probe part was slightly longer.
