If I was going to add $20 worth of additive to my tank every fill up or make a claim that a product like this is really good I'd want some pretty conclusive proof that it even did anything. How are you guys noticing the difference? seat of the pants bum dyno? I'd want to see a before and after dyno run and fuel consumption figures to see that this stuff does anything at all.

Ok, so whilst being a little confused, I have worked out my 06 Polo TDI does not have a DPF. So what is a recommended injector cleaner additive for my car? I change my oil every 7500km.

Geez, you'd think we were talking about adding 2-stroke oil...

Try Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant and Injector Cleaner or Morey's Diesel Engine Smoke Killer. I use both.

No, randomly and always when refueling. It means, I never bought the fuel without adding the additive in my T5.

So I can go to supercheap auto to buy this stuff? Also since i don't have a DPF, is this still economically viable per tank fill? Does this have an effect on the EGR (I assume my polo tdi has this). Sorry for n00b questions

Motormate would be probably cheaper to buy it from, at least here in SA. It is economical to use but I recommend that you start with Lucas and read the instructions first use 1/3 of the bottle for initial clean and than as the label suggest.

Yes, it is good for the EGR.

I've never tried it. Does it say on the label that it is the injector cleaner for the diesel?

sent an email to FlashLube about whether their product is safe for CRD and DPF.

If so how many klm's did you have up before starting to use it ?
