OK, I have found the colour that I want to have my wheels painted.....
It is Shadow Chrome which is able to be varied in how dark it goes... It is, I believe a more expensive option than just painting as it is a 3 part process so I will see what the pricing is like... that will determine if and when I get it done...
The pic below shows the colour really well... it is on a M3 wheel but I think it will suit the Talladega wheels...
Candy White Scirocco R DSG with Panoramic Sunroof and RNS510 Sat Nav, tint Cup Rear Spoiler, VMR V718 GM rims, APR Tuned, Brembo 6 pot BBK, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Low line RVC, Exhaust flap delete
There is nothing "Hello Kitty" about that colour... lol

I'm debating what to do. I get the Roc next week (hopefully!!!), and plan on doing a bunch of mods right off the bat (ECU and DSG map, DP, CAI). I wanted to paint the wheels at the same time, but might have to wait for the bank balance to grow a bit
I'm actually growing fonder day by day on how the standard silvers look on the CW. I think they look real nice. I just hate more than anything pulling up next to the same exact car.
As a side note Rebecca, do you think you could take a close up shot of your rims sometime? I'd like to see what they look like in more detail, as that's pretty much the colour I was going for.

Maybe I should have gotten that pink Roc.....
The standard hyper silver looks wonderful... while it is clean and let me tell you... they are a right bitch to clean when you are fussy about them (did someone say Anal?).
As for your mods, I would do the ECU remap first before the Downpipe and CAI.. depending on which tune you are going for there will be plenty of grunt to keep you happy...
In terms of pricing... I have just been quoted around $280 per wheel for 4 of them. The paint itself is expensive and it is a 3 stage paint process.
He said the only downside is that when you get scratches... and he did say WHEN not if... they show up as black for light ones and alloy for deeper ones.
I am going to go and see him next week to have a look at colours etc and get a firm price.
As she_dub said... it can be wrapped... talk to Carbon Demon

Yeah I already bought the DP and CAI (Milltek and VWR) so I'm going to do those as well. Tune will be HPA. I may consider doing the DSG tune later, but can get a deal if I do all at once. I know I will do it down the road, so might as well do it now.
I got quoted $250 a wheel, so seems right. At least if they're painted they're easier to fix!

Will do! I would do it now for you, but it would just look weird if I was doing it in my work car park... and I don't need to draw more attention to myself than my bright blue car already does in the fleet of silver beamers...

It is only a matter of time before you curb them.. No matter how anal you are about it
