It is definitely, black and white but it didn't show when I coded it, maybe I did something wrong. What can I do now?

If you coded 77 with VCDS then it should show up But then again I think you said you didnt have steering wheel controls? If not then it wont show as you have no way to control the data in the display.DARKHORSE DEVELOPMENTS

Ok, will look at it tomoz. Ps bought a mk6 steering wheel and mfsw module and going to try to install it this week when it arrives.

FWIW.....9W7 installed into a 6R Polo today.
No display in mfd, because mfd display is controlled from the right hand stalk. Steering wheel controls are basic volume, station selection, mute etc.

I bought 131420638775 on eBay. So are you saying the buttons on the right side won't control the mfd? So I would need the right stalk assembly?

sorry...didn't notice your comment re the MKVI wheel.
in short...not sure if that will be enough to get the mfd to kick in with more info. The techo's will know if that is enough, or if the mfd 'module/control will require some 'tweaking'.

Just checked my wiper stalk and it has trip computer settings control for mfd on it, so theoretically it should work in any case. I will let you know

No need for right stalk as the t5 uses the same bus as a polo so all the programming is done at the bcm. After fitting the mk6 standard mfsw (not gti, so I didn't need a new airbag) I had to get a new airbag loom connection. The buttons still not working even after I completed the Lin connection and the 12v. I'm suspecting a faulty airbag loom ATM. Will keep you posted

Hi guys, changed over the airbag loom, and still no good. I started suspecting that maybe I needed a different stalk switch so I have swapped it over for the BA version (with cruse on the left stalk), still no good. Now I'm losing my mind... Help....
