9W7 wiring harness for RCD510/6R Polo.

Hi all,

have purchased a wiring harness (allegedly for 9W7) to get Bluetooth happening in my wife's Polo.

I managed to procure a 9W7 unit, and received the wiring harness (from separate supplier) this week.





Question.

From the wiring loom that goes from the 9W7 to the green plug (I am assuming this plug will fit into the back of the RCD), what the heck do the four (4) wires that go to nothing, do? (Refer 2nd pic). Am I supposed to splice/add these to the quadlock on the RCD510? If so, does anyone know the pin number sfor each of the wires?

The wires are for the battery positive and negative and 2 of them for can hi and can low. The sticker is on the radio, from that you should be able to figure out where they go.

The canbus wires; the orange wire is usually can hi to pin 9 and the brown wire to pin 10 on the quad lock connector.

There is a different kind of harness that you can buy that is just direct plug and play..all linked into the main black plug so you dont have to de-pin wiring. A lot easier and prob only $10 more expensive
