Old RNS510

Hi all I have an old RNS510 on mt 07 passat and I have 2 issues with it.

1. It has aparrot bluetooth and it wont paire up to my Iphone5. The phone is piking it up but it saying it's not or or out of range?

2. It has the ipod connection for Gen3 ipod and I cant get it to play or no sound coming out.

Any of you have or had this problem and what did you do to make it work.

I've been trying to do fix ot to get it to work all night last night.

Hey mate post up a picture of that "RNS510"

Sorry to say, but from the info supplied its unlikely to be an actual OEM RNS510. RNS510s do not have inbuilt bluetooth nor do they have Ipod connections. It sounds like a Chinese copy unit which commonly has both of those ......

Yup, sorry, that's not a RNS510. Some brand of Chinese copy and very little support for those I'm afraid. Good luck, but I suspect unless you can live with its issues you will have to replace it.

Google RNS510 to see what it should look like.

OMG, you are correct, a RNS500 .... well thats pretty ancient lol

Parrot BT was not standard on the RNS500 so likely an add on module. This BT module may or may not be upgradeable to see an iphone 5, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I tryed to pair my wife Iphone 4 and still didnt work. it pick up the unit but wont pair. I wonder if i have to get the unit scan and open a gateway or something. other than thant im more than happy with the system.

It's extinct animal. You hardly see them but they do exists and she work fine except for the iPod connectivity. Still trying to make it work.
