    • That may be why the delay in the operation - it is only a few seconds and is something I can easily live with.

      • Fair enough. Is this with the latest firmware? I remember having those issues way back in early last year, but it's been fixed for me for a while? IDK, either way it may just be the time it takes for the latch to actuate.

Yep, i'd have to look, but from memory, that was a bug that people with the 'A' versions had out of the box, and was fixed in the next version of the firmware. Should be able to flash to the latest available and it'll be fixed

            • I've still got the freezing if you slam it into reverse on the 810+, bit worried about flashing just in case, as I don't wanna brick the unit

                • Update success.

Following the instructions from Goobz post #884 i managed to update my DNS.
I kept the engine running and prior to the update attempt i removed the media sd card and also the USB stick.
After inserting the card and accepting the "Update MCU" question, i got some scary messages

I was frozen so i did nothing but that was good as after 5-10" the process continued ok and soon after (less than a minute) that part of the upgrade was completed.

After verifying the new SW build level i performed the CAN module update -no problem there- and i ended going from that build

                  to

I have no idea yet of what has been improved in this version. What i noticed though is that the AUX input (analog) using the AUX in plug in the center console arm rest is now working when -from what i remember- i tried a couple of times with the previous SW and it didn't work.

                  • Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm newest available firmware version for my 'pre-release' DNS unit (without 'new' CAN chip)? Not sure if most recent link is applicable to my unit or not.

                    Current version:

                    • So does anyone know the advantage of updating CANBUS firmware from 2.27 to 2.32?

                            • Hey guys,

Just looking at upgrading my headunito to a DNS 610 or 810 as i dont ned to fork out extra money for the bluetooth and GPS which i dont use to often anyway but always a bonus.

Just one query i hope someone can answer is that with the bluetooth audio streaming do the track and artist details display on the headunit / MFD?

                              Cheers

                              Jared

                              • Nope,

I should also mention that i cannot use the buttons on the wheel (MFW) in order to skip next/previous/play/pause track when in A2DP mode.
I have to use the audio player buttons on the screen or the hardware buttons of the unit.
