I definitely didn't have it with 39xx and 4.1 kamold, I could say 'Enter new address' but from there on it said I had to refer to the screen (or something to that effect). With the upgrade I can now enter addresses completely.

That's because you were moving. By default it.blocks you using it on the move. Firmware upgrade lifts that restriction but only as its a setting changed.

Ah cool. Granted if I wasn't moving I'd never really go the voice control option anyway (unless I was showing off or something)

OMG you can't talk and drive at the same time that's soooooo dangerous!!!

Voice entry is actually fairly effective once you get the hang of the intonation required to be understood.

          Glad I don't have a Glaswegian accent...

Not able to download the 4020 firmware for A units from File Factory as the file is larger than 500 MB. Anyone able to put the file on Google docs or have a link to a mirror?

Hi if you don't mind, could you let me know if (and where) the firmware is available on Google? (Should specify thats for a Rev A unit.)

            Thanks

Can anyone instruct me on how to get the speed limit sign activated on my REV H 4020?
All I seem to have there is a grey square compass pointer depicting North.

I couldn't find it in setup screens for NAV or MAPS. I can't find anything in VCDS on Navigation 37 either.

Is it something to do with POI settings?

                Thanks.

Check under setup, there is a setting "display current speed limit" or something like that in one of the menus, which you have to turn on as well.

What maps version do you have?

Speed limits always came on by default for me once I hit 4020+v5 maps and had to turn them off via Setup > Map > Speed Limitation

Yep ... speed limit display came with the V5 map.

Got nothing to do with FW version.

Yeah I had it on in my 118. I thought the new one was V5. I will try & load up the latest version.
