Hi liquid force, I hope you can help. I am buying a new golf and would rather pay your prices then the dealer for GPS and camera

Can you explain where the antenna goes, I have heard in some install in the dash and some on top. Do you have a pic what this looks like on the top of the dash.

Also is it possible to install the shark fin antenna. I am also in Melbourne could you give a idea of cost to install sat nav, shark fin, if this can be installed and the badge camera would be, just a idea would be great.

Apologies for late reply, We have been flat out.


The basic GPS antenna goes in bet the dash and the windscreen - after a while you stop noticing it. I dont have any photos of it at hand. The install of the unit is $170 in Balwyn.

The GPS Shark Fin is available at $150 brand new with 3x5 metres of cable and we know a company who could fit it for you. I am not sure how much they would charge between 250 and 400 as it is a bit of work.

You get slightly better reception and obviously looks.

If the car is My12 or prior to that yes - if newer no. Only with RNS 510. Quality of the screen on RCD is poor for the camera.

You need the bracket to install it either way.

Hi mate badge RVC is $350 to install normally
We would not recommend it - GPS antenna works the same as TV antenna more or less. If you hide it in your house it will not work to its full capacity.
